TAMIKA L. JONES

Founder, Doula, CBE, CBS, CPST

Empowering every step, Tamika’s authentic truth fuels her compassionate and proactive support for mothers, with a deep and intentional focus on uplifting African American women throughout the birthing journey. She provides dedicated support to women, creating protected spaces where her clients feel valued and allowed to make informed choices for themselves and their babies.

Tamika is the founder of Timeless Love Journey Doula LLC, established in 2024, where she provides personalized support to women and their families throughout the entire birthing journey.

She serves on the Pregnancy-Associated Mortality Review Committee (PAMR), the Louisiana Doula Registry Board for the 2026–2028 term, and is a registered doula on the Louisiana Doula Registry as of April 2025. Through these roles, she extends her impact beyond individual families, helping to shape systems that improve maternal and infant health outcomes across Louisiana.

With over 20 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in nutrition from Southern University and A&M College, Tamika’s work is rooted in a mission to help reduce maternal mortality rates in Louisiana, especially among African American women. Through physical and emotional support, evidence-based education, empowerment, and advocacy, she works to ensure safer, more positive birth outcomes.

As a doula, childbirth educator, child passenger safety technician, and breastfeeding specialist, she provides families with the knowledge and tools needed to experience pregnancy, birth, and beyond with confidence and dignity.

Her passion is driven by a clear purpose: addressing disparities in Black maternal health and ensuring that African American women are respected, supported, and empowered throughout their journeys. Through community outreach, education, and advocacy across Louisiana, she strives to create lasting, meaningful change for mothers and families.

She firmly believes that when women are informed and respected in their autonomy over their bodies, they can transform not only their birth experiences but also the health of future generations.

Tamika’s commitment to this work is deeply personal and rooted in years of service. As a former Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) nutritionist in Georgia for 13 years before returning to Louisiana in 2020, and as a former Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), she gained invaluable experience supporting women and families in maternal and infant health. She understands firsthand the importance of equipping women with the tools to advocate for themselves and their families. Grounded in purpose and driven by impact, Tamika remains committed to creating spaces where women feel seen, supported, and powerful every step of the way.
